Oh My Gosh!!! 15 days till Christmas!!

Well yes that time has rolled around again, but luckily I am fairly organised this year! I still have some shopping to do, but apart from that, I'm pretty set!
We put the tree up on Sunday night after Matt's CFA Christmas dinner, and it looks ok, but is so big that we now have decided that it needs to be moved from its current location in the dining room to the lounge. So hopefully we will get that done this week. I have also finished all my Christmas cards I just need to post some!!
The pregnancy is going well, and I am really starting to show now, which is nice. Things just are not fitting the same, and I am pretty much in maternity pants all the time now!
I am looking forward to my Christmas break and just relaxing at home. We are having Christmas lunch at our place this year, so I have a bit of organisation to get the house looking good, but hopefully by the end of this week, most of that will be done!!
We went shopping the other week at Baby Bunting and put our pram and Nursery stuff on lay-by so Munchkin's room is looking, or will look really good and I should have most of his stuff all finished by the start of March! We are going with a African Animals theme and the nursery manchester is aptly named Zanzibar! We also purchased our cloth nappies and I got them on Saturday which was very exciting, and I proceeded to wash them straight away! We are using the brand Baby Beehinds and I just can't wait to put our little fella in them!
Well thats all from me, have a great Chrsitmas and New year!! xxxx

Hello Munchkin!

Hi Guys!

I haven't written in a while, but you know neither has anyone else!!!
So we had the 1st scan yesterday and it was so exciting I really can't wipe the smile off my face! It is is just so nice to know that there is a baby down there and yes everything is fine. You start to worry that perhaps I was imagining being preggers, as it's such a long time in between seeing the baby.
I reckon the best part was when we got to hear Munchkin's little heartbeat! So amazing! It is so fast 140 beats per minute I think the Doctor said (I could be wrong, because I was paying so much attention to the sound). Here's a pic of the heartbeat!

So all is well we have our next antenatal appointment on Friday, where we will find out the results of the Nuchal Translucency test, which basically is a test for Down Syndrome. We are not fussed either way, in the end having a baby is the most important thing!
Here is my favourite photo of Muchkin, she/he was moving about so much that the little blobs you can see near its mouth are its hands.

So we have booked in for our 19 week scan, and that is on the 11th November so 6 weeks today! Woo hoo! I also booked us in for our antenatal classes, we chose to do a workshop instead of the long course. So we do two Sundays in a row, which I prefer and I'm sure Matt will, so they aren't Till February, but they fill quick so needed to book in early!
Well thats all for now, gotta get back to work!

Yes I am a host to a Tiny Gedge!

Well most of you may know now that I am pregnant! 7 weeks and 5 days to be exact!
Matt and I are both very excited and have started to change a few things already.
Here's a list:

1. We both have quit smoking, which is great!
2. I am no longer looking at shoes with great anticipation, instead it is baby catalog's, baby things on e bay, oh and did you see the most recent BIG W catalog!!!
3. Matt now refers to me a mama jugs instead of Tit's McGee or vagina cakes, which makes a nice change!
4. I have an ever increasing library of baby and parenting books and magazines, so instead of waiting for the next issue of Cleo to come out it's now when is the next practical parenting or pregnancy and birth coming out!!!

Jokes aside, I am really having a fairly good time playing host to this tiny embryo that has taken over my body! I've had a bit of sickness but mainly nausea, which comes and goes, plus I am a lot more prone to crying these days!
I was watching the Olympics the other Sunday and it was the Woman's marathon, the winner was a woman from Romania I believe, anyway she was the oldest competitor to have ever won a Gold in that race and as she came running into the stadium, I really started to tear up! Then it was the swimming!! I started thinking gee, what is wrong with me!!!!
Another weird thing I have found is I get really starving and then when I eat I have two mouthfuls and I'm not hungry anymore!!! Very annoying!
I've suddenly also developed a craving for macca's cheeseburgers and tomato and cheese on cruskits!!!
Better go but will update you more along the way!

Sudden Realisation!

So I guess this occurred a couple of weeks ago, but I have not had time to write or had merely forgotten!
I am a Late Person!!!!!
Now most of you who know me, probably already know that, but were too nice to say anything!!
But I just realised it myself the other day when I was having a chat with my boss, she commented that I am 5 minutes late everyday, and it kinda got me thinking!
How did I become that late person, I hate being late!!!
I worked out that I am not late to things that I deeply care about. For example, I am never late to my Tupperware parties as I am the demonstrator and it would be a really bad image of me to be late! Not that I don't care about work, but I kinda just let myself slip!
It's things that don't rely on me being there that I am late to! I believe my family is one of those late families. We were always running late to church even though it was just down the road, I can now understand my Father's annoyance at me for taking too long to get ready!
The other week we had my nephew's christening and I was running late for getting ready for that, mind you that wasn't entirely my fault!!! You see I know how long it takes me to get ready for certain things, so I get up in time to be ready by that time. For example for this particular morning we were told we had to be at the church by 10am. This was all discussed the night before; I even confirmed the time with my sister in law on leaving. So I wake up at 8am, because I do take my time in the morning and I don't like to be rushed. At about 8:45am after I had finished my breakfast and my coffee and I was about to have another smoke before jumping in the shower, my brother in law turns up saying "We have to be at the church by 9:30am!" so there cuts my time down from 1 hour to less than 45 minutes!!! I had to Shower, wash my hair, blow dry and straighten it, do my make up and get dressed! Normally I would do a rush job (which I hate doing) and scoot out the door, but because this was an important family event and there would be photo's etc, I needed to look ok! I DO NOT walk out the door to an important family event looking half done, I'm sorry but its not me!
So any way David (Matt's dad) starts cracking the shits, saying I am always late (which is partially true), but I believe in these circumstances, when the time gets changed last minute, I am entitled to be a little bit annoyed! So anyway it didn't even matter that we were late (by like 5 mins) because the service didn't start till after 10am!!! I said to Matt, what was the big deal with us being here early?
Maybe I am being selfish, which technically lateness screams of selfishness, as in your time is not important to me, but in my case that is not entirely true! I do care about being on time, infact, I actually hate being late! My problem is time management in regards to getting ready!
Every weekday I am required to be at work by 9am. so in order for me to be fully dressed, made up and hair done by 9am I have to get up by 8am (even that is rushing it). If I want to have breakfast I have to be up by 7:30!
You see I like to take my time, relax and drink my coffee, and by the time 8:45am rocks around I don't like to be frantically rushing around!
I am pleased to say though, I have not been late to work for the past two weeks!!! Yay for me! I even started at 8am today and I was here on the dot of 8am!
So to summarise all of these points :
1. I am a late person and I now know that I am
2. I need to allow adequate time to get ready
3. Never trust a Gedge with an accurate time of when to be somewhere as no doubt it will change!!!
So I have decided that I am going to change my late habit, I never want to be late again!! So here is what I am going to do:
1. Get up at 7am each work day so that I have enough time to get ready and eat breakfast!
2. Go to bed earlier as the reason why I sleep in is because I go to bed too late!
3. and finally remember that everyone's time is equal to my own and I should not waste it! It really is amazing how much you can get done in Five minutes!!!
Thats all for now, I better get back to work.....

हैप्पी Easter

ok for some reason my title is in some other language!!! Don't ask me why!!! It says Happy easter!!!
So I am gonna try and upload a video lets see how i go!!!

So no idea if that worked but I am sure you can make the judgment for yourself!!!
So Easter has been good! We went out for my birthday last night and had heaps of fun!!! Came back home after and played WII for a while and then watched Scrubs into the wee hours of the morning!
Matt bought me seasons 1-5 of scrubs on dvd!!! Damn I love that show!!!!
So anyways today is Easter Sunday and we have had a very relaxing day! We did our eggs this morning and then I had Lunch with Michelle and John and their family, which was really nice!
I have to say my Husband has really spoiled me this year!!! I got a Lindt gift pack, so yummy!!!!
So I am sure most of you know that Matt and I have started trying for a baby! If you didn't know that, then you do now!!! I'm not pregnant as yet, but as we have only been trying for one month it was not unexpected!! So one month down, I am in the fertile zone now and for another 24 - 36 hours, so I guess I really shouldn't be wasting my time on the puter!!!
So till next time, Aidios!

The New year!

Well it is February and I haven't even posted a blog yet!!
So what has been happening? Matt started his job this week, which was fantastic, as I could not wait to get him out of the house!!!!!
Renee moved in and is soon moving out, but I am sure I mentioned that in previous blogs.
This week it was my sister Natalie's 14th Birthday, of course we weren't able to make it this time, but we sent our wishes.
It was also our Nephew, Archie's birthday, he is now 1, and is crawling all over the place! Very cute!!! Scott and Amy (his parents) said he has as much hair now as he did when he came out!!!!
We also have a pool now, which is excellent, here are some recent pic's of the pool and of us with Chili.

I have also decided to give away Mary Kay, even though I love the products, I just didn't feel like it anymore and now I am doing .......TUPPERWARE!!! I know what you are thinking gee, she's jumped the gun a bit, but it just felt right! I really love Tupperware and any of you who have seen my pantry would know, just how much I do!
So I am not sure what else to write but Happy New year and I will keep you posted!!
